The East Middle School Parent Group was established in November 1996 with the goal of increasing parent participation in our middle school and supporting the staff and students.
We believe it is just as important for parents to be part of the middle school experience as it was in elementary school, although in different ways.
We aim to provide volunteer help where needed in academic and social activities, sponsor education programs via our Parent Network program for our parents while providing a forum to meet other parents, and be a part of the larger Farmington Public School Community through PTA Council.
East Middle School's Parent Group usually meets during the second Tuesday of each month at 12:45 p.m. or 7:00 p.m. in the LGI room. Check the calendar for the exact dates.
Parents/ guardians and students are welcome to attend these meetings. Administrators, Mr. Sanders and Ms. Fox, are present at each meeting and give updates on upcoming events, sports, and concerns happening at East. Teachers also support the Parent Group by attending meetings. Student Council sends a representative to give updates on their events. Students are encouraged to attend these meetings with their parents/ guardians.
